Bummer
Well, no one made our 10-10-10 goal. Unless Wendy finds her scale and discovers a miraculous weight loss over the past few weeks...unlikely, but possible. Dad gets a gold star for being the closest with a 7 pound loss over the last 10 weeks, I was right behind him with 6. As it stands, our total weight loss is as follows:
Mom: 10.1
Dad: 10
Wendy: 7.7
Brandi: 10.2
Beth: 14
I'd say its still any one's game. Thanksgiving might be a challenge, just remember that every bite you put in your mouth counts. If you want some of everything, just take a little bit of everything. Try using a smaller plate so it still looks like a lot of food. No one is ever still hungry after dinner, its just that it looks, smells, and tastes so good. Eat slow and enjoy that first plate so there is no need for seconds. If the temptation is too strong, think about the pie. Seconds and pie is not okay, which would you prefer? We have about a month left until the final weigh-in and $250 is at stake. How many rolls, mashed potatoes, and pie would you not eat for $250? In all honesty, I'd probably skip Thanksgiving all together if it was a guaranteed win...nothing is guaranteed, but I promise you won't later wish that you have eaten more, good choices feel good forever. Come on Fat Brames! We can be healthy! My goal is to be in my "healthy" weight range by the time I turn 30...that's another 50 pounds. At 10 pounds a year, I'll never make it...its time to kick this game into a serious gear. We are all in this together...we have some pretty terrible genes working against all of us, and we don't want to cut ourselves short by making bad choices! Be Good, and be thankful for the opportunity we have to better ourselves and strive for a healthier life style.
